Wedding photography FAQ

How long will you spend at our wedding?

That depends entirely on your wedding! We're not on the clock so as a general rule we will turn up when you want us to in the morning and then stay until the end of the evening event!

Can I have 2 photographers?

You can have a second wedding photographer / assistant to work with your Lead Photographer at no additional cost, we have a number of talented up and coming photographers we use regularly who you may well see as Greyeye lead photographers in their own right one day.

So why wouldn't I have 2 photographers?

Having a second shooter has it's advantages, you can be in two locations at once for example which may be useful for some weddings however two photographers can make people more aware of the photographers limiting the opportunity for the Lead Photographer to blend in, in addition for smaller low key weddings two photographers may seem a little obtrusive. Your lead photographer will go through the options with you at your consultation including their preference in how to go about capturing your day.

How long before we can see the photos?

We will aim to have all images available for viewing on a private section of our website within 3 weeks of the wedding.

Can we meet you before we book?

In most cases yes of course! You can come and meet us at the studio or we can arrange to come and see you at your home, local pub or anywhere else you like. We'll bring along some prints and sample albums for you to look through and talk through your big day and any ideas you have. Of course this may not be always possible for long distance weddings however we can arrange conference calls to discuss your plans in more detail. There will be absolutely no hard sell.

Do you charge a deposit?

Yes, a fixed fee of £150 deposit is required. This is refundable up to 2 weeks after booking.

When is the balance due?

8 weeks before your wedding date.

Do we have to buy an album or wedding book?

No, of course it's always nice to have a professionally designed wedding book or album to flick through but we understand that not everyone wants that so we give you all your images in high resolution on DVD. Should you change your mind you can order albums up to 5 years from the date of your wedding.

Will you do international weddings?

We will absolutely consider any booking request regardless of location however there's a couple of things to consider with working abroad. We would have to charge for travel costs and potentially a supplement for travelling time, however this is all negotiable.

What will you be wearing?

We usually dress in suits however if this doesn't suit your wedding then we're usually happy to accomodate your requests bearing in mind any hire costs will be added onto the final bill.

What if it rains?

Some people dread the thought of a rainy wedding but there really isn't a reason to worry, you'll still have great day getting married to the man or woman of your dreams and you'll still have a great selection of photo's at the end of it. There are many great opportunities for photo's in most venues and we also carry a selection of matching white umbrellas just in case!

Who owns the copyright / image rights?

You do - and so do we. All images we supply to you on the DVD are yours to print, email, send to your friends etc..., in fact any activity that is not commercial (ie, selling an image for advertiseing etc...). In return we retain the right to use the images for advertiseing and promotion of Greyeye Photography and for any commercial opportunities such as reselling through stock libraries etc... You can opt out of this if you prefer at no charge however please advise at the time of booking.
